FAQ

What is counselling?

Counselling is a form of talking therapy where a qualified therapist listens to you and supports you to find ways to deal with mental health issues. It is a collaborative process, focusing on your problems, feelings, thoughts and behaviours.

Who can benefit from counselling?

Counselling can be beneficial to anyone experiencing emotional difficulties, stress, relationship issues, mental health concerns (like anxiety, depression), or who needs support in life transitions (grief, trauma, etc.).

Are the sessions confidential?

Yes, counselling sessions are confidential. However, there are exceptions if the counsellor believes you or someone else is at risk of harm or if legal obligations arise (e.g., court orders).

How long does counselling last?

Sessions last 50 minutes. The number of sessions vary depending on individual needs, ranging from a few sessions to longer-term therapy.
